There’s something about spring that is rejuvenating for the soul.  Whether it’s the warming sun in the sky or the reemergence of nature, there is no doubt that it’s a wonderful time of year to treat yourself to something special. Though gazing out across the expansive waters of Green Lake is a relaxing way to spend a spring retreat in Minnesota, there are a variety of other ways to experience the rejuvenating powers of spring in Spicer as well.  Whether you’d like to travel on two wheels or keep two feet on the ground, the 12-mile trail around Green Lake is a wonderful place to explore and take in the scenery.  The Glacial Lakes State Trail is also a wonderful trail for biking and walking. Between Willmar, Spicer, New London, Hawick, and the Kandiyohi/Stearns County line, there are 22 miles of paved trails to enjoy.

Spring Retreat MinnesotaA spring retreat wouldn’t be complete with a restorative hike through Minnesota’s beautiful parks.  One of the best parks in the area for scenic hiking is Sibley State Park.  One of the highlights of this serene park is Mount Tom.  From the top of the point, you can see up to 50 miles of forest, farmland, prairie knolls, and lakes in the distance. Within the park, there are over 18 miles of trails that take you through forests, prairies, and savannas.  Lovers of spring will also enjoy wildflowers peeking up from the ground and a wonderful variety of birds to enjoy.  When you’ve had enough adventure for the day, our welcoming Minnesota Inn will be waiting for you. Enjoy afternoon tea service with us, followed by a relaxing evening chatting with fellow guests, playing board games or reading books in the lobby, or strolling the serene grounds.  There’s no reason to leave the grounds once you’re back, as dinner can be enjoyed in our gourmet lakeside restaurant.
