Tuesday, December 9th we celebrated 20 years of Holiday Festivities at our Inn by hosting an open house with live piano music, donations to our local food shelf, wine tasting by Glacial Ridge Winery and a visit from Santa. We are grateful to our guests and community for their continued support of our B&B. Thank you to everyone who assisted in making our open house a success!
This December marks our 20th anniversary of celebrating the holiday season at our Inn. We want to say “Thank You” for all your support during the past 20 years and your continued support in the years to come.
This year the food shelf is seeing a 25% increase with families in need. We are encouraging everyone who visits our Inn to bring a non-perishable food item or donation for our local food shelf. Together we can help make this holiday special for all families by making sure that there is enough food to meet the increased demand.
I hope everyone can stop by on Tuesday, December 9th. There will be 3 drawings for gift certificates valued at $150.00 each. Live piano music, food, wine tasting, beverages, and santa will make an appearance from 5:30 to 7:00 with a treat for each child that visits.
We will be decorating our Inn for the holiday season this coming week. If you have a chance, be sure to stop by and get a glimpse of this grand old home dressed in its Christmas finery. The twinkling lights, crackling fire and smell of cookies baking will lift your spirits at this joyous time of year. Laughter, fun and great food combined with our gracious hospitality are the ingredients for wonderful memories for years to come.
A few of our holiday entrees are porcini-encrusted beef tenderloin with fresh herb butter, rosemary pork loin with dijon cream sauce, chicken picatta, shrimp and scallops in alfredo sauce served on a bed of pasta and asiago cheese and basil ravioli to name a few of our favorites. Everyone who dines at our Inn during the holiday season will receive a complimentary dessert, butter pecan pound cake with spiced rum hard sauce. Reservations for dinner can be made by calling 1-800-821-6675.
We look forward to welcoming you to our Inn this holiday season!
The joy of innkeeping is welcoming our guests to the Spicer Castle and from time to time we like to share their comments with you. “This has been an amazing time. We love it here. You did a fantastic job at making us feel welcome and special. The food was superb. Don’t change anything! It’s great just like it is. The swinging bed was an unusual treat, very comfortable.”
We hope that you will take time from your hectic schedule to visit our Inn and cozy up to one of our fireplaces. Enjoy afternoon tea or coffee with our seasonal baked goods, such as our signature pumpkin roll filled with sweetened cream cheese. Relax with a candlelit dinner of Chicken Picatta, Rosemary Pork Loin with Dijon Cream Sauce, Scallops and Shrimp in our Herb de Provence Cream Sauce just to name a few of our entrees. Or experience the laughter and suspense with our popular interactive murder mystery dinners. Wake up to a special four-course breakfast and our gracious hospitality.
As an innkeeper one of the most rewarding experiences is knowing that we provide a place where our guests can meet new friends, enjoy great food, laugh, make smores at the firepit, read a book or put a puzzle together and walk the paths and view the spectacular fall colors. Below are a couple of comments from our guests:
“The entire staff here does such a super job! Everyone tended to anything we wanted/needed and they ALWAYS did it with a smile! Thanks for going the extra mile and making a coconut cream pie to surprise my husband. Please commend your entire staff. Hope to see you soon!” Yvonne
“The food is amazing. I did not expect gourmet food. The room was very well taken care of and the staff has been very hospitable. We will be back.” John & Diane
